New Hope

on December 11, 2013

Although it is frustrating not having any recent donations, I refuse to give up. I have scheduled a spaghetti dinner at a local VFW post this coming January 25th. I am very excited, I will have silent auctions, raffles and a cake walk. Our local newspaper said they would publish an article for me to help promote the dinner. I also have several donation jars at local businesses in the area. It seems gas stations generate the most donations. I am still waiting for my silicone bracelets to come in. I am excited to sell them on Facebook and at local factories. My mom continues to send emails to the local media. We figure they will either give in an run my story or they will block mom’s email address..lol
If we could just get the community to give up one fastfood meal in a week and donate that money, it would make a great difference. The fast food is bad for them anyway and I am doing this for my health. It will help both of us in the long run, keeping us healthy!
I feel like I am always begging people for money, but it is what it is I guess.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated, thanks everyone 😉

  1. Keep your head up. Fundraising stinks, but you will get there!
