Making it BIG!

I made the front page if the newspaper! 🙂 it talks about my journey with my disease and how I over came it with my SDiT (service dog in training) I feel so blessed to be on the front page so people can read about how far I’ve came and how this has made me a stronger person. It also talks about my spaghetti dinner were having to help with fundraising

WOW. So I got a headache and was about to check my sugar and Stella walked over and laid her head on my lap. And when I reached for my meter she sat up and pawed me. When I checked my sugar it was high! Way to go Stella! Training should be a breeze for my girl.

Here’s the blessing I’ve been praying for. My service dog Stella ❤️

My dream came true today!!!

Stella is possibly the best blessing I’ve ever received. ❤️ she’s not fully trained, but she has stolen my heart. She will start her training as soon as next week. I’m blessed to be able to have her and form a bond while she’s in training and being paid off. I couldn’t have gotten such a blessing if it wasn’t for all the support and help I’ve gotten from everyone. And I couldn’t be more blessed. I’m beyond thankful for everything everyone’s done to make this possible. Fundraising is still needed to help pay for Stella but I was lucky enough to be able to take her home before all the fundraising is done and she is paid off. I can’t thank everyone enough. Thanks for all the help and support ❤️

Being new to this whole diabetic thing I’ve been open to trying new things, not really having a choice in the matter. I’ve never been a tea person. Until I tried diet green tea. I think I found my new addiction! 😍❤️😋

Comfort Zone

Stepping out of my comfort zone and drinking some delicious hot chocolate ! 🙂 I can’t even remember the last time I was able to drink it. Only 7grams of sugar and 11carbs! Most people my age don’t even know what counting carbs means, but I’ve got this mastered. … Yeah !!

I’m in control.

So this was my first Christmas as a type one. Thanksgiving didn’t treat me so well.. But I wasn’t going to let that hold me down. I woke up Christmas Eve morning and punched my diabetes in the face, and said I’m in control and I will NOT let you ruin my holidays! This year was actually one of the best in my opinion. Nothing made me feel sick, all the food was GREAT! And my blood sugars stayed in a good range. Which isn’t very common when there is good holiday food and snacks laying around all day. I really enjoyed getting to spend time with the people I love the most. The people that have supported me and have been there for me through this life changing journey. I couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas.
